Aquest proc\u00e9s seria molt superior a tractaments biol\u00f2gics d&#8217;alta intensitat (MBR\/*SBR\/*UASB), tractaments qu\u00edmics oxidatius (utilitzaci\u00f3 d&#8217;oxidants a pressi\u00f3 \/ temperatura) i\/o mixtos. L&#8217;\u00fanica difer\u00e8ncia entre el tractament d&#8217;alta intensitat biol\u00f2gic \u00e9s que el tractament de&nbsp;EO&nbsp;no difer\u00e8ncia i actua tant en mol\u00e8cules biodegradables com en poc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La t\u00e8cnica\u00a0de electroxidaci\u00f3\/ <strong>electrodesinfecci\u00f3<\/strong>\u00a0tamb\u00e9 s&#8217;utilitza com a <strong>sistema de producci\u00f3 de desinfectants per a tractament d&#8217;aig\u00fces i la seva higienitzaci\u00f3 \/ desinfecci\u00f3<\/strong>. Aplicable a aig\u00fces residuals d&#8217;alta c\u00e0rrega org\u00e0nica o refract\u00e0ria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La t\u00e8cnica electroqu\u00edmica&nbsp;de <strong>electro-peroxicoagulaci\u00f3<\/strong>&nbsp;consisteix en l&#8217;aplicaci\u00f3 d&#8217;un camp el\u00e8ctric entre un \u00e0node de ferro&nbsp;(&nbsp;de sacrifici&nbsp;)&nbsp;i un c\u00e0tode, passant l&#8217;aigua a tractar entre aquest va espaiar, generant&nbsp;Fe2+ que actua amb el per\u00f2xid d&#8217;hidrogen, introdu\u00eft o produ\u00eft&nbsp;cat\u00f2dicamente&nbsp;i produint-se la reacci\u00f3 de&nbsp;Fenton. Aquest proc\u00e9s genera una gran quantitat de radicals lliures que actuen oxidant fortament qualsevol contaminant present en l&#8217;efluent.
